More decorations

Hello everyone in 2011! I hope you all had a happy holidays. I certainly did, even though they felt a bit brief. I only had a couple of days off around Christmas and New Years, but I had to work between them and I’m back to work again now. But I’m also back to posting! I got a bit of free time over the holiday to browse again and I found a couple more decorations that I think will be perfect for Laura’s party, so I thought I’d share them with you when I got a chance. Here they are.

That first one is, as you can see, streamers. I like these a lot. They’re plain and simple and pink, but I know that with my friend Patty’s help we can weave them into something beautiful and elegant to decorate the ceiling and walls. It may not look like much, but these streamers are going to make my plain old living room look very fancy! As for the other decoration I found, well, it’s not as big of a deal, but still important in its own way. Here it is:

Yes, it’s just an ordinary pink tablecloth. I know, I know, not very exciting. But it’s something I did need to find. It’s just plain and pink and not very impressive, to be sure, but I think it will fit well with all the other decorations. And it has a very utilitarian purpose. The table in my living room was fairly expensive, so I needed to get something to protect it from the girls who, shall I say, are more prone to spilling their drinks. Come to think of it, maybe I should get two...

Balloons

I picked up momentum posting about those decorations last time, I don’t want to lose it now! So I thought I’d keep going down that same path and look for some more decorations today. So this time I’m going to post about something I was really excited to start looking for: balloons!
Of course, my excitement dwindled a little when I saw that, like everything else, the bachelorette party balloon market is full of penises. I don’t know why they’re so popular. Well, I guess I do. But you’d think classy decorations and gifts and whatnot would have more of a presence too! Anyways, luckily I found a couple options that I think would look nice at Laura’s party.
Here’s the
first option:

And here’s the second:

Both look nice and sophisticated. I think I’m going to go with the second one though. For one thing, the first has that block lettering which I’m not a huge fan of. Also, the second one comes with both pink and black balloons, and the variety is always nice. I thought I’d post both, though, in case any of you reading would prefer the first one, because it’s nice too. I think it’s a better deal, also. So if any of you were having trouble finding nice, classy balloons for your party, I hope this post has helped you too!

Assorted Decorations

Look at this, I’m posting about something actually important for once! Well, not to say that things like drinks aren’t important - they certainly are, especially for a couple of the girls who are coming. But there are things more vital to the party than that. Like decorations, for example! I did some power searching this morning and I found a couple more decoration-type items that I think I’ll get for the party. First, there’s a centerpiece.

You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find a bachelorette party center piece not shaped like a penis. That’s got to be the item with the most penis varieties out there, hands down. But luckily, I found this one! This should look very nice on the dining room table.
Next up, I found this
banner that spells out “Bachelorette Party”.

Unfortunately, it’s sold out right now, but it was literally the only banner I could find that didn’t have penises on it. So hopefully it will get back in stock so I can buy it, because I really want to have something hanging from the doorway from the living room to the kitchen, since those are going to be the two main rooms for the party.
Lastly for this post is a decoration that I’m a little torn on whether or not to get. It’s the decoration everyone loves to use but everyone hates to clean up. It’s
confetti!

I really like the style of this, it’s cute and sexy and would be fun to throw around. But, of course, there’s the problem of cleaning it up. I absolutely hate vacuuming confetti out of the carpet. You can never seem to get it all. But I had a thought - it’s a little bad, but bear with me. Maybe I’ll say that since I offered my house for the party, one of the other girls has to clean it all up! I’m sure I could get my friend Beth to do it... I just hope she doesn’t read this!
